Patrice Lumumba Press

NO LIMITS.

NO BOUNDARIES.

What it is

The Patrice Lumumba Press (PLP) is the publishing company of the IBFA. PLP has five modes of publication, trade books and a website for mass audiences, academic books and journals for academia, and curriculum documents for the IBFA.

NO LIMITS. NO BOUNDARIES.

The tagline, no limits, no boundaries, means that PLP takes the limits of White Supremacy placed on African peoples off and there are no boundaries to the ways that PLP publishes and puts out the material.

HOW PLP Publishes

This cutting edge, fresh and lively publishing and distribution style entails the latest technology and a strong ground game led by the IBFA. PLP will publish interactive e-books and learning documents allowing the material to come to life. The books, journal articles, documents and online articles will involve 3-D models, videos, music, and audio. Technology is constantly growing, shifting and improving.

History will one day have its say; it will not be the history taught in the United Nations, Washington, Paris, or Brussels, however, but the history taught in the countries that have rid themselves of colonialism and its puppets. Africa will write its own history and both north and south of the Sahara it will be a history full of glory and dignity.
— Patrice Lumumba

Why

named after African revolutionary fighter, Patrice Lumumba, this revolutionary press aims to dismantle White Supremacy. PLP directly ADDRESSES HOW White Supremacy maintains power through cultural hegemony. PLP recognizes how African peoples have been miseducated and derailed from fulfilling their purpose. PLP directly addresses this miseducation.
